Position summary
The role of the Administrative Support Specialist I is primarily a support position to various departments in the property management firm, under the direction of the Director of Resident Relations. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, follow through and pay attention to details and deadlines throughout the day, and be willing to learn new tasks to assist other departments in the day-to-day operations of the office.

Position Performance Objectives
Follow up on action items after regional manager property visits including, but not limited to, monitoring, delegating and calendaring.
Assist with processing applications for tenancy.
Process Home Improvement Applications from Residents
Oversee and monitor Home Depot orders
Data entry.
Scan document to pdf, save to various company software.
File paper documents.
Receive and route incoming telephone calls.
Other general administrative duties as assigned by staff.
Back-up staff for other administrative tasks:
Prepare outgoing mail daily with a postage meter.
Prepare outgoing shipping daily with shipping software.
Fold and stuff resident correspondence using the folder-inserter machine.
Key Competencies
Familiar with standard office concepts, practices, and procedures.
Follow organizational and departmental procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Computer literate at an intermediate level in: MS Office, Adobe, Internet, etc., with substantial use of Adobe Acrobat
Able to switch tasks easily when priorities change.
Able to use discretion when handling confidential files and situations.
Able to work independently once assigned a task.
Able to follow verbal/written instructions to complete assignments according to company policies and procedures.
Able to manage multiple assignments with varying deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Has reliable transportation to/from work, with the ability to drive on work-related errands occasionally.
Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Punctual and reliable with a good work ethic.
Physical Requirements
Has the ability to work at the corporate office in front of a computer screen/typing approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Has the ability to bend, reach and lift boxes and office supplies up to 30 pounds.
Experience Requirements
One year of general office experience, minimum
Property management experience, a plus
High school diploma/GED, required
