In Australia, we operate in multiple products including cotton, cottonseed, chickpeas, mung beans & sorghum. We seek a highly competent Administration Officer for our busy Cecil Plains Cotton Gin & Warehouse.

About the job

The Site Administration & Logistics Officer is a diverse role at the heart of the Ginning & Warehouse operation at Cecil Plains. Some of the responsibilities include:

People – recruitment, medicals, rostering & shift approvals for seasonal team, supporting strong team culture

Logistics – organise seed and bale truck bookings and deliveries

Ginning – enter Gin runs into SAP, support Grower Service Reps

Authorised Officer Dept Primary Industries – inspect containers & documentation

Warehousing – organise cotton bale and container releases, and export documentation

Weighbridge – truck deliveries and general weighbridge duties

Accounts – invoicing, coding; inputting of stock, gas and fuel consumables; stocktake

Safety – support with inductions, training paperwork, risk assessments, PPE

General – other adhoc duties as required

Who we seek

To be successful, you will need minimum three years in a similar administrative role preferably in a manufacturing, logistics or farming environment. You will be switched on, able to multi-task and have high degree of accuracy. You will also be friendly, positive & confident interacting with people from all cultural backgrounds.

Good time management, attention to detail and & ability to multi-task

Ability to work as a team player and autonomously

Effective communication and negotiation skills

Experience interacting with people from all cultures and backgrounds

Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office. SAP highly regarded.

Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to work longer hours during the season

Current drivers licence

AO accreditation or willingness to complete training for this
