To help achieve our growth goals, we are hiring a Special Assistant to the CEO. This is a "force multiplier" role designed for an ambitious problem-solver eager to optimize the CEO’s time and gain high-level experience in organizational execution.

The person who succeeds in this role will:

  • Think and operate like a business partner, ensuring the CEO's schedule is linked directly to fundraising and partnership goals.
  • Have a competitive mindset, energized by the challenge of balancing high-accountability execution with rapid organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Optimization: Own the CEO’s calendar and manage the administrative rhythm of the office to prioritize fundraising and partnership goals.
  • Meeting Governance: Attend executive and board meetings to capture action items and manage the "follow-through" process.
  • Information Triage: Manage incoming communications and draft high-level correspondence to maintain momentum with external stakeholders.
  • Strategic Infrastructure: Lead "Priority One" special projects.
  • Proxy Support: Act as the CEO’s proxy to ensure priority recommendations are executed and internal bottlenecks are proactively resolved.
  • CEO Preparation: Brief the CEO ahead of all major external engagements with bios, strategic goals, and relevant data.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Executive Throughput: Significant reduction in CEO time spent on administrative logistics.
  • Proactive Execution: Timely completion of ad-hoc special projects with minimal oversight.
  • Alignment with BridgeUSA culture and values.

 

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years in a fast-paced environment (startups, campaigns, or high-level leadership) with a focus on building lightweight processes.
  • Self-Starter Mindset: A bias toward action and ownership; someone who researches and solves technical hurdles independently.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to mimic the CEO’s "voice" and build trust with board members and donors.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly master CRM tools, project management software (Asana/Notion), and G-Suite.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Systems-Oriented: A drive to build systems that scale, ensuring tasks do not have to be repeated manually.
