Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Department Coordinator to join our team at Island Deliveries. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Customer Service and Warehouse (administratively) department. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a knack for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Manage and maintain departmental files, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
Coordinating Projects and distributing them to key department members – overseeing their completion at a high standard.
Building Relationships with the account representatives we work with.
Overseeing the training of new team members.
Provide exceptional customer and account support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. You would also be responsible for any escalated issues.
Assist in proofreading documents to ensure clarity and correctness before distribution.
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve departmental efficiency.
Maintain an organized workspace that promotes productivity and effective communication within the department.

Requirements

Proven experience in clerical or administrative roles is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with phone systems and office equipment is advantageous.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
