Description
Position Title:Spiritual Life Student Assistant
Supervisor’s Title & Department: Office Manager / Spiritual Life Center
Session: Academic Year
Hourly Rate &Leadership Classification: $11.00, Level 1 Standard Classification
Average hours perweek: Up to 8 hours per week
Job Purpose:
To assist the Office Manager and Spiritual Life Center staff by performing and fulfilling tasks in the office. To maintain all office operations in the absence of the Office Manager

Position is leadership-oriented and requires goal-setting
Anticipate and fulfill needs as they arise
Work with little or no supervision at times
Essential Duties:
Assist with preparation for special events & programs
Complete special projects in a timely and accurate manner
Use creativity and innovation to accomplish assignments, often helping establish new routines and increased
effectiveness
Greet, welcome, and assist student or staff walk-ins
Proofing of various documents self-prepared and those prepared by Office Manager and chaplains
Hand-carry various documents to other campus offices
Equipment Used:
Landline telephone, including voice mail
Calculator
Computer and printers
Copier, including scanner
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Creativity
Office/computer experience
Experience w/ software programs (Word, Google Suite, Excel, Canva) preferred
Self-motivation, accuracy to detail
Experience Requirements:
Familiarity with general office tasks
Some customer service experience
Educational Requirements:
Must be in good academic standing with the University of Lynchburg
