Description
This position is Occasional Dual Language (OCDL), the incumbent must be able to read and communicate effectively in person, via telephone and in writing in both English and Spanish.
After a successful probationary period, the incumbent May be able to work a hybrid schedule. The duty station for this position may either be Kennewick or Walla Walla.
The ideal candidate for this Administrative Assistant 3 position should be capable of performing administrative functions, communicate effectively and be a team player.
They should also be able to coordinate personnel recruitment, track performance evaluation schedules, maintain time sheets and leave requests, and provide fiscal administrative support. This includes supporting budget preparation, monitoring expenditures, verifying financial records, and managing equipment and supplies. The candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive in their duties, with excellent communication skills.
Duties
Perform administrative functions and provide coordinated support throughout Eastern Region as needed. This includes:
Assist in developing and implementing office processes and procedures (including ESP network access, building access, IT Remedy tickets)
Gather and compile data; maintain data files for programs; compile and complete projects, reports and special assignments.
Arrange staff travel and training; maintain supporting documentation.
Provide higher-level personnel and payroll administrative support.
Coordinates personnel issues such as recruitment, selection appointment, and promotion.
Track and monitor performance evaluation schedules.
Review and inform supervisors of updated and new policies or procedures; manage performance notices and annual reviews.
Provide fiscal administrative support; maintain equipment and supplies. This includes:
Support budget preparation; process research, monitor and track expenditures; review, process and verify program documents and financial records.
Monitor equipment and supply needs; prepare estimates; place orders; receive and stock inventory. Track surplus and transfer of equipment.

Qualifications
High school graduation or GED AND Three years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work.
OR a combination of education and/or relevant experience.
AND Able to communicate occasionally in English and Spanish in person, by phone and in writing.
