The Leadership Academy of Madison County is seeking AU student applicants for the position of Program & Office Assistant.

The Leadership Academy of Madison County is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Program & Office Assistant. This position supports the daily operations of the LAMC office and assists the Executive Director. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, service-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities Office Operations & Administrative Support

  • Maintain inventory of office supplies; track, stock and update Executive Director of needed inventory.
  • Provide friendly, professional assistance to office visitors and callers.
  • Perform general clerical tasks including filing, printing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Assist with maintaining organized office spaces, storage areas, and program materials.
  • Utilize tools such as Canva, Google Drive, Google Photos for office maintenance.

Marketing & Communications

  • Contribute to marketing projects and campaigns as assigned.
  • Assist in managing social media content creation, posting, and engagement.
  • Help collect and organize photos and information for promotional materials.

Other Duties

  • Participate in special projects as needed to support LAMC programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Must have Federal Work Study Eligibility for current academic year of a minimum of $2,000.
  • Strong organization skills, along with the ability to be self-motivated and an independent worker.
  • Office location is on the AU Campus: Decker Hall, Suite 132
  • Background check required prior to start.
  • Paid training prior to working required.

  • Required screenings and training will be scheduled and the cost covered by the agency, as needed.
  • Federal Work Study: If you do not know if you qualify for FWS, review your financial aid (myfinaid.anderson.edu), contact your financial aid counselor or stop by the Office of Work Life Engagement located in Decker Hall, Suite 112.

New Hires: If you have never worked for AU you must provide identification to complete the I‑9 form and complete the Paycom onboarding prior to beginning work but no later than the first day of work. Identification must be brought to the Office of Work Life Engagement located in Decker Hall, Suite 112. A complete list of accepted identification to bring is listed on the I‑9 form.

Commonly provided is an unexpired passport or a picture  along with either a social security card or birth certificate.
