Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to support the Assistant Principal in all aspects of operating the Student Services offices. The position ensures smooth operations by establishing a flow of accurate and timely information/materials to all stakeholders. Specific duties vary based on individual building needs.
Essential
Duties
Cordially greets and assists students, parents, staff, and visitors with college info, application procedures, Post Secondary Education Options, registration, scheduling, verification of enrollment, and GPA verification.
Maintains all student files, requests records, establishes cumulative files, and contacts the bus company.
Maintains the student information system, registers new students, updates data, and creates schedules.
Manages appointment schedules for Assistant Principals and arranges meetings.
Archives records for past graduates, non-graduates, and withdrawn students; processes requests for these records.
Processes reports for mid-terms, grades, report cards, and updates transcripts.
Distributes and updates student schedules as needed.
Assists with testing organization and paperwork.
Supports the organization of communication for online school and Goals students.
Revises and updates registration materials for the upcoming school year.
Prepares materials for Parent and Student Campus portals.
Processes end-of-year reports accurately.
Handles phone and email inquiries professionally.
Prepares confidential reports and documents such as suspension/expulsion papers.
Coordinates open enrollment and inter-district procedures with the superintendent’s office.
Maintains office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed.
Processes and mails transcripts, college, and scholarship applications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in PC computer use and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Technical skills to operate and troubleshoot office equipment
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, proofreading, and organizational skills
Ability to learn the district’s student information system and email systems
Schedule & Compensation
8 hours per day
261 days per year, including 12 paid holidays

Hourly rate: $21.24 – $25.39 depending on experience
Classified as B-2-2 in LEAF contract
