We have an exciting position available for a Student Support and School Admin Officer to work for a not for profit organisation in the Eastern Suburbs. This role is varied and involves providing administration support to the school and management, whilst also working closely with students to support them. We are looking for someone who is a quiet achiever – someone who is flexible and adaptable. You will be supporting and working closely with the CEO, whilst also working at times with children and young people who need support and assistance, as well as parents and teachers – every day is different!

Details Of The Role

  • Full Time, Permanent position
  • Based in the Eastern Suburbs
  • $81k salary plus super, plus salary packaging benefits ($41.45 an hour)
  • Varied role – administration and also working and supporting students
  • Work in a warm environment within a close knit school, alongside an excellent team
  • Normal office hours role (8.30am to 4.30pm)

About the organisation:

This organisation has a small school in the Eastern Suburbs – there are 4 teachers with around 60 students. They also run a number of community programs and where they support vulnerable people in the Eastern Suburbs. This role would involve working closely with teachers, case managers, a psychologist as well as management.

Duties

  • Supporting and liaising with students (Years 9-12)
  • Providing administration support to the school and teachers, including updating the website, collecting and updating information, writing up minutes for meetings, creating reports and sending out communication.
  • Assisting students to maintain their engagement in school and working with students where they might have challenges or be at risk
  • Liaising with parents and teachers
  • Working closely with the CEO on various projects and pieces of work
  • Providing referrals where needed to case managers and Psychologists
  • Working in the OOSH (Out of school hours care) program when required

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with experience in administration and working with youth / young people or in a School environment
  • Good organisation and communication skills and someone good at following policies and maintaining professional boundaries
  • We require someone who is a permanent resident or Australian Citizen
  • It is a requirement to have a Driving License
