Supervisor, Instructional Design Job in Winnipeg, MB at Manitoba Public Insurance –

As the Supervisor, Instructional Design, you will plan, direct, manage and implement comprehensive blended learning solutions to meet business objectives. In the role, you will perform needs analysis, create evaluation strategies, develop Knowledge Management Strategies and Plans, and assist with the development and implementation of learning programs.
Responsibilities:
Applies contemporary methods of adult learning theory, social and mobile learning, and curriculum design to deliver a learning solution using a blended approach.
Identifies appropriate learning solutions to meet specific stakeholder learning needs.
Participates in the research and implementation of industry best practices for the development and delivery of learning solutions.
Works with the Digital Learning Specialist to design and develop digital learning solutions.
Develops and administers an effective evaluation process for all training programs.
Leads a team of Instructional Designers in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning solutions.
Fosters a high performance team culture that is consistent with the corporate vision, values and leading practices.
Actively participates in and engages others in decision-making, information sharing, identifying opportunities for improvement, and resolution of client group concerns.
Liaises with internal and external organizations to support all learning program related issues and learning gaps.
Qualifications:
Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related discipline.
Certificate in Adult Education (e.g., CAE, CACE/PDAL) or eLearning, Instructional Design or equivalent.
Five (5) years of experience in designing, developing and delivering learning programs and online courses including two (2) years in a leadership/project manager capacity.
OR
Certificate in Adult Education (e.g., CAE, CACE/PDAL), eLearning Instructional Design or equivalent
Seven (7) years of experience in designing, developing and delivering learning programs and online courses including two (2) years in a leadership/project manager capacity.
Plus the following:
Experience working on large corporate projects or initiatives.
Education in digital learning and project management is an asset.
Advanced knowledge of adult learning styles and adult education concepts.
Advanced knowledge of current and emerging instructional design methodology (e.g. ADDIE) and digital learning (eLearning, virtual classrooms, web-based conferencing, mobile learning).
Advanced knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360 Suite, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, etc.)
