HIRING RANGE: $22.81 – $26.83 per hour based on experience.

Job Summary
Perform administrative support of considerable difficulty, diversity, scope, depth and confidentiality in assisting an administrator and/or other department staff in carrying out responsibilities.

Essential Functions
Serve as liaison between the administrator, departmental staff, and college departments. May serve as an office manager providing work direction to work study, student and/or non-regular employees.

Prepare and process personnel and payroll documents, maintain attendance records, and monitor leave usage. Prepare or review and process work orders, purchase orders, expense reports, and requests for pays; order and maintain supplies.

Greet and screen office visitors and callers, resolving matters or making referrals as appropriate. Maintain appointment schedules and make time commitments and travel arrangements. Plan and schedule meetings involving internal and external participants.

Assist in budget preparation by gathering fiscal data and compiling projections. Maintain budget accounts, monitor expenditures, and initiate budget and journal transfers.

Compose or prepare correspondence, minutes, reports, statistical documents, class schedules, faculty loads, etc. Read, sort, and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing mail; organize and maintain operational files.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Three years of clerical or general office experience. (Post-secondary education in any field may substitute for up to one year of the required experience. Fifteen semester credits are equivalent to six months of experience).
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.

Exceptional organizational skills.
Experience with organizing and scheduling meetings.
Demonstrated excellence in computer software like Microsoft suite.
Experience processing personnel and/or payroll data using an electronic system.

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player.
Exceptional people skills with ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
