System Administrator Jobs in WP. Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at OneCredit
Title: System Administrator
Company: OneCredit
Location: WP. Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
About the Role
We are hiring our first dedicated Senior System Administrator to own the full spectrum of corporate IT — identity governance, endpoint management, office infrastructure, and compliance-control execution. This is not a traditional "keep-the-lights-on" sysadmin role. You will build the IT foundation that takes us from 40 to 100+ people — automating what you repeat, documenting what you automate, and establishing governance that makes scaling sustainable and auditable.
What You'll Own
- Identity & Access Governance — Own the identity provider (SSO, MFA, SCIM lifecycle automation). Manage the full joiner-mover-leaver cycle so new hires have access on day one and departing staff are fully deprovisioned within 24 hours. Run periodic access reviews, manage privileged access (least-privilege, just-in-time elevation, break-glass), and maintain a service-account inventory with enforced secret rotation.
- Endpoint & Device Management — Own the MDM platform end-to-end: zero-touch enrollment, disk-encryption enforcement, OS/app patching cadence, EDR deployment, remote lock/wipe, and compliance baselines. Maintain the hardware asset register from procurement through secure disposal. Author and maintain a formal BYOD policy.
- Network & Office IT — Manage in-office WiFi with proper network segmentation (corporate / guest / admin VLANs), secure remote access (VPN/ZTNA), and meeting-room AV and office technology.
- Compliance & Resilience — Serve as the named operational owner of assigned ISO 27001:2022 Annex A controls (access control, asset inventory, incident management, vulnerability management, logging, change management, and others). Produce audit-ready evidence. Execute BNM RMiT technology-operations obligations (privileged-access controls, MFA enforcement, log retention, patching, incident-notification support). Own SaaS data backup and DR/BCP testing including IdP failover planning.
- IT Service Management & Procurement — Operate a formal change-management process. Own the IT asset register and CMDB. Govern SaaS sprawl and shadow IT. Co-own (with Finance) the IT/SaaS budget, renewals, license optimisation, and vendor contracts. Stand up a helpdesk and self-service portal. Build and maintain IT documentation and runbooks.
- Secure Communications — Administer corporate email and messaging platforms with formal policies for channel governance, external guest access, and retention. Enforce RBAC across all communication channels and ensure data-in-transit encryption meets ISO 27001 standards.
Must Have
- 3+ years in system administration or corporate IT engineering, preferably in a cloud-first / SaaS-heavy environment.
- Hands-on IdP administration (Okta, Google Workspace, Entra ID, or JumpCloud) — SSO, MFA, SCIM, and lifecycle management.
- Hands-on MDM / UEM experience (Jamf, Kandji, or Intune) — enrollment, configuration profiles, patching, and compliance baselines.
- Strong grasp of least-privilege access, RBAC, and privileged-access management.
- Endpoint security experience: EDR, disk-encryption enforcement, and OS/app patching at scale.
- Practical knowledge of ISO 27001 operational controls — you've owned controls or produced audit evidence.
- Network fundamentals: VLANs, firewall rules, VPN/ZTNA, WiFi, DNS.
- Scripting and automation (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) — you default to automating repetitive work.
- Strong documentation habits and clear written communication.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a BNM-regulated or financial-services environment; familiarity with RMiT.
- SIEM / log-management and security-event alerting experience.
- Security-awareness training and phishing-simulation programme experience.
- Relevant certifications: Okta Certified Admin, Jamf 200/300, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Internal Auditor.
- Prior experience scaling IT through a high-growth phase (doubling headcount in 12–18 months).
Why Join Us?
- Founding IT hire — build systems and processes from the ground up, not maintain someone else's legacy.
- Direct impact on the security and operational posture of a regulated fintech during a critical growth phase.
- Modern, cloud-native stack with no legacy on-premise infrastructure.
- Opportunity to shape the IT function and grow into an IT Manager or Head of IT role as the team scales.
