Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Hardware & Network Maintenance
Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, servers, routers, and switches.
Assist in the setup and monitoring of the organizations LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi networks.
Diagnose and repair hardware malfunctions, replacing parts as needed.
Google Workspace Administration
Manage user accounts in Google Workspace (creation, modification, removal).
Monitor and maintain Gmail settings, Google Drive, Calendar, and other apps/services.
Troubleshoot and resolve Google Workspace issues, escalating when necessary.
Ensure proper permissions and security policies are in place for user access.
System Administration
Perform daily system monitoring: verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and processes.
Support operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and ensure timely updates and patches.
Assist with user account management, group policies, and basic permission settings.
Troubleshooting &Support
Respond to technical support requests, document issues, and follow up with users to ensure satisfactory resolution.
Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for warranty or specialized repairs.
Identify recurring problems and recommend solutions for improving the IT environment.
Asset Maintenance & Management
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
Track equipment lifecycles (procurement, deployment, upgrades, retirements) and ensure proper documentation.
Coordinate with vendors or authorized recyclers for disposal or recycling of end-of-life devices.
Ensure software licensing compliance and proper allocation of hardware resources.
Security & Compliance
Follow standard security protocols to protect systems and data (e.g. Antivirus updates, password policies).
Assist in maintaining and verifying system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in hardware, network support, asset
maintenance, and/or Google Workspace administration.
Prior experience in a similar IT support role is a plus.
Technical Skills
Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
Hands-on experience with hardware setup, troubleshooting, and repair.
Working knowledge of Google Workspace Admin Console and its core services.
Knowledge of common system administration tools (e.g., Active Directory, remote management tools).
Experience with asset management software or practices is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
