A renowned manufacturing Group, with the headquarter in Northern Italy, is looking for a TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER to join its sales departments.
As a global player, the Group has a worldwide presence and supplies customers all around the globe.
The Technical Sales Manager reports directly to the Sales Directors.
- The candidate will be responsible to manage a portfolio of new and existing customers
- Together with all Sales Directors of the various Companies of the Group, the Technical Sales Manager prospects potential new customers, designs the best solutions for them, sustains current business, and follows every project up
- Provides sales quotes to customers
Visits customers regularly, implementing strategies to support them and to drive value and developing strong partnerships
They explore side business opportunities allowing the Company to extend the business scope
Organizes and participates to international fairs and events
- Shares information with the Product Development team
- Manages admin activities related to the acquisition of orders.
The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong technical background and experience within companies’ leader in the supply of advanced technologies for industries such as ceramics, metals, packaging, food and beverage.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. A background in sales engineering or a related field is preferred.
The candidate should prove their ability to effectively influence customer decisions and displace competition.
Degree: Mechanical Engineering (or similar) and/or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Years of experience in the role: 3+ years relevant experience in the role.
Languages: Must be fluent in Italian and English for regular interactions with customers and colleagues. Spanish, French and German are considered a plus.
IT: Strong understanding of the most common Office software and reporting tools (e.g. Excel).
Attitude and soft skills: We are looking for a flexible individual who has a good balance between sales, account management, business development and technical skills.
Also, they have a sense of opportunity, negotiation, compromise and discipline.
Pay grade and salary: They will be commensurate with the actual competence and experience level of the candidate. The contract will be signed under the conditions of the collective labour agreement CCNL- Metalmeccanico Industria.
Working place: The company headquarter is in Piedmont and the Sales Dep. are in Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna. Candidates’ residence is irrelevant, as long as they are available to travel worldwide. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
Working hours: Full time
Starting date: Immediate or according to candidate’s notice.
