The Unit Coordinator performs clerical and administrative duties in support of patient care providers, medical staff, patients, their significant others, blended and extended family members, and outside agencies.
Responsibilities
Promptly answers phones, relaying messages as appropriate
Collaborates effectively with the unit charge nurse and/or care manager to identify bed needs and/or unit needs
Transcribes orders in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with policies.
Requirements/Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
Effective communication skills
Self-motivated, independent, organized, and able to prioritize work
Ability to successfully complete the Mount Carmel Unit Coordinator Training Program
