Position Summary

Why It’s a Great Opportunity: The Office of the County Executive has an exciting opportunity for you to support the Executive and his team by performing specialized administrative and/or program support functions. This in-person role will have you reporting directly to the Executive Administrative Services Manager. You will be the first point of contact for all visitors coming into the Executive’s Office and will be responsible for assisting customers with inquiries, responding to requests from the administrative team, and coordinating general office operations. Throughout the onboarding process, you will meet with the Executive Administrative Services Manager and the Executive Team to discuss expectations and introduce you to the current policies and procedures, key stakeholders, and the roles and responsibilities.

Core Daily Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to Executive Office staff.
Perform receptionist and general office duties; respond to routine inquiries by telephone, email or person-to-person.
Keep the Administrative Services Manager apprised of, and appropriately involved in, significant actions undertaken on behalf of the Executive Office.
Conform to the County Finance Policy and Procedures Manual, Human Resources policies and the Administrative Guidelines for Career Service, and Information Technology Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

Recruiting Requirements:

One year of general clerical work experience.
Additional education or experience which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute equally on a year-for-year basis for the recruiting requirements.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:

A valid State of Washington Driver’s License and a safe driving record or the ability to otherwise meet the travel requirements
