About Our Education Department

Our Education department is the heart of our mission to empower filmmakers worldwide. Led by, our Head of Education, we run a comprehensive mentorship program for filmmakers, manage our community on Mighty Networks, create educational content through Kajabi, develops customized AI tools and provide opportunities for filmmakers globally virtually and in person. Our head of education personally handles extensive communication with our high-ticket mentorship program members, providing personalized guidance and support that keeps our community thriving.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an exceptional Education Virtual Assistant to support our head of Education by handling the essential behind-the-scenes details that keep our programs running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be someone who excels at communication, systems management, and technology adaptation. Someone who can anticipate needs, work independently, and seamlessly integrate into our workflow.

Key qualities we value:

Exceptional written communication skills for drafting and responding to emails, community posts, and internal team communications
Strong systems thinking and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
Tech-savvy and adaptable – comfortable learning new platforms and tools quickly
Experience with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and other productivity platforms
Proactive mindset to identify and complete tasks without constant direction, while knowing when to check in for quality control
Independent yet collaborative – takes initiative but maintains excellent communication

Technical skills we’re looking for (not all required, but highly valued):

Gmail, Kajabi, and course management platforms
Canva for visual content creation
Content creation and copywriting (with AI assistance)
Community management (Mighty Networks experience a plus)
Notion for project management
General AI familiarity and willingness to leverage tools for efficiency

Primary Responsibilities

Communication Management:

Monitor email inboxes and handle routine requests (course access, simple questions, scheduling)
Draft emails for individual mentees and group communications
Respond to community posts in Story First on Mighty Networks
Create newsletters and promotional emails in Kajabi

Administrative Support:

Manage accounts and access in Kajabi
Schedule regular check-in calls and manage calendar coordination
Maintain and update mentee dashboards in Notion
Organize and prioritize incoming requests for review

Content & Community:

Create visual content using Canva for courses and community
Support content creation for educational materials and events
Assist with community engagement and management
Help develop and optimize systems and workflows

While our head of edu remains the primary point of contact for mentees, you’ll be the organized, proactive force behind the scenes ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and we can move forward smoothly.

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
