Astral Studios and YelostreamCo operate as an integrated media production and live-streaming powerhouse. Our core business covers high-end corporate events, multi-camera live broadcasts, commercial video production, and highly technical post-production pipelines. We are physically headquartered in Beverley, Sandton, South Africa, but we are expanding our operations with a dedicated, remote administrative engine.

The Role

We are seeking a fiercely organized, meticulous, and autonomous Production Coordinator & Bidding Specialist to join our team remotely.

This is a specialized hybrid role. You will not be directing, editing, or holding a camera. Instead, you will be the administrative backbone of our pitch pipeline. Your primary mission is to digest complex technical briefs, coordinate crew logistics, and build winning, line-item commercial proposals and corporate/government tender documents without needing to be micro-managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tender & RFQ Management: Systematically read corporate and government Request for Quotes (RFQs) and tenders, compile all required returnable compliance paperwork, and ensure 100% error-free submissions.
  • Commercial Estimating: Scope and build highly professional, accurate commercial line-item quotes based on client technical briefs.
  • Logistical Planning: Map out shoots from end to end—anticipating and coordinating crew travel, accommodation, per diems, and technical gear movement before a proposal is sent out.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Think ahead to evaluate potential operational bottlenecks (such as venue power limitations, backup connectivity requirements, or tight turnaround schedules) to ensure our bids are highly competitive and executable.

Core Requirements

  • Immaculate English Literacy: Because you will be writing high-stakes corporate proposals and communicating technical workflows, flawless written and verbal English syntax is an absolute, non-negotiable requirement.
  • Technical Literacy: You must thoroughly understand the technical building blocks of modern video production and live streaming (e.g., multi-camera setups, vision mixers, encoding, internet bonding, and standard crew roles) to quote accurately.
  • Extreme Attention to Detail: You are highly particular about details, formatting, numbers, and compliance checklists. You are someone who naturally double-checks every line item.
  • High Autonomy: You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in a self-managed, remote workspace, delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines without supervision.
  • Operational Alignment: You must be available to work full-time on South African Standard Time (GMT+2).

Technical Ecosystem We Work In

While you don't need to be an expert creator, you will routinely handle proposals involving:

  • Post-Production & Animation: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, and Unreal Engine workflows.
  • Live Broadcast Infrastructure: Broadcast-quality encoding setups, mobile streaming rigs, vMix / Atem Mini Pro / OSEE architectures, and multi-camera live switching environments.
