Warehouse Officer
Job Summary
The Warehouse Officer is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, proper storage of materials, and timely receiving and dispatching of goods. The role ensures efficient warehouse processes while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of products and materials.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments and delivery documents.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments regarding stock requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the warehouse.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse procedures.
- Prepare inventory and warehouse reports as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 13 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Goodcommunication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with inventory software or ERP systems.
- Familiarity with FIFO, FEFO, and stock control methods.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
- Ability to supervise warehouse personnel and coordinate logistics activities.
