Job Description
TITLE:
Administrative Office Coordinator (Elementary)
REPORTS TO:
Principal
JOB GOAL:
To complete the detail and written work required by the position; to coordinate other matters essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: N/A
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the Principal in screening telephone calls and visitors and recording messages, etc.
- Assists the Principal and persons assigned to him/her.
- Attends meetings and types notes from meetings per request.
- Collaborates with other secretaries to ensure the receptionist area is covered.
- Assists all other administrative staff, teachers and non-certified staff as directed.
- Sort mail for the school.
- Type correspondence and reports for the principal.
- Assist in the use of office copiers as needed; file.
- Type letters and notices to parents/guardians and staff for the school.
- Take telephone calls, relay messages to the principal, students and staff. Stamp and prepare mail for the post office.
- Process approved purchase orders and verify invoices.
- Assist the principal in public relations work in which he/she is involved.
- Manage and process payroll, attendance, etc.
- Other duties as identified.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma; prior secretarial experience; technology skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
215 Days
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $12.25 Per Hour
