Overview
The Workday Admin plays a crucial role within our organization, overseeing the administration and management of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This position is vital for ensuring optimal configuration, maintenance, and support of the Workday platform. The Workday Admin is responsible for managing user accounts, troubleshooting system issues, and enhancing system performance to meet the evolving needs of the organization. By facilitating seamless integration and coordination between HR and IT functions, the Workday Admin ensures that our workforce can effectively leverage technology for better operational efficiency. This role not only supports day-to-day business processes but also contributes to strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing workforce management and improving employee experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of HR processes to maximize our Workday investment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and configure the Workday HCM system to meet organizational requirements.
Monitor and maintain user access, roles, and security settings within Workday.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Provide user support and training for employees to maximize system usage.
Collaborate with HR and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Implement system updates and enhancements in accordance with best practices.
Develop and document Workday configuration, processes, and procedures.
Create and manage scheduled reports and dashboards for tracking key metrics.
Facilitate data imports and exports between Workday and other systems.
Analyze business processes and advocate for improvements through Workday functionalities.
Assist with integration efforts between Workday and third-party applications.
Stay updated with Workday releases and new features to inform stakeholders.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
Provide feedback on system usability and user experience improvements.
Participate in projects involving system upgrades or new modules.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in administering Workday or similar HCM systems.
Strong knowledge of HR processes and practices.
Experience with Workday modules such as Core HCM, Time Tracking, and Payroll.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Workday security protocols and system configurations.
Demonstrated ability in change management practices.
Certification in Workday HCM is a plus.
Experience with system integrations and migration processes.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
