City of Nicholasville Tax Office Administrator

Do you have an aptitude for numbers and working with people? If so, keep reading because our long-time Tax Administrator retired , and we are looking for a detail-oriented person to train for this vital role.

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three years of related work experience are required. The starting hourly pay is between $22.62 and $30.20 plus exceptional benefits. Applications accepted through May 28, 2025.

The City of Nicholasville provides services to the community through revenue generated by business and residential taxes. The Administrator is responsible for managing the systems and communications that help people pay taxes and fees on time and follows up with reminders when they don’t. The Administrator also prepares reports and maintains records in accordance with tax laws, rules and regulations

This position requires handling confidential City funds and finances; therefore, the applicant must not possess a criminal conviction for theft or crimes against persons.
