Full Job Description
We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. This position will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Hourly position, and schedule somewhat flexible. The right candidate would work 35-45 hours weekly with up to 5 hours overtime per week. Work schedule is M-F, flexible work schedule (7-5:30 pm), no weekend work.
Accounting Assistant will need following experiences and skills for job responsibilities:
o Work experience as an Accounting Assistant, Admin Support or preferably Bookkeeper
o Heavy experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe
o Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
o Good grammar and communication skills
o Gap knowledge required
o Organizational skills
o Detail oriented
o Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
o Customer service experience, with pleasant and confident phone skills
Accounting Assistant job duties will include, but not limited, to the tasks below. As the job progresses, more detail accounting work will be performed.
·Sales (AR)
o Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
o Create PDF copy of invoice for digital files and email customers daily
o Heavy filing for sales invoices and AR payments
·Purchasing (AP)
o Tracking LTL and ground shipments for sales orders
o Match BOL with freight invoices and reconcile
o Create PDF copy of freight invoices for digital files
o Heavy filing for freight invoices and AP payments
· Electronic file management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,200.00 – $37,500.00 per year
