Role Description

The Accounting Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Surabaya. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate financial records, including daily transaction entries, general ledger updates, and month-end closing activities. The role includes assisting in the preparation of financial statements, supporting budgeting and financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. The Accounting Officer will manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, and monitor expenses and revenues to support effective financial control. The individual will work closely with finance and operations teams to provide timely financial information, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement in accounting processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting, with the ability to apply accounting principles in daily operations.
  • Experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software and spreadsheet tools (e.g., MS Excel) for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills in handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Indonesian tax regulations and shipping or logistics industry experience is an advantage.
