Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience or training in clerical work.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

To perform a wide variety of clerical duties that requires independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.
Some discretion is required in the performance of these duties. Duties begin to expand in scope and complexity, and develop into departmental-program duties.

General from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel.

Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the presence of responsibility for clerical duties that involve greater scope and complexity, including initial program duties.

Examples of Work
This position provides complete and timely administrative support services to the Executive Staff Officer and LDH Bureau of Legal Services (BLS) staff. This position reports directly to the Executive Staff Officer. Job duties are performed independently with supervision of the Executive Staff Officer and General Counsel. Job duties are varied and mandate strict adherence to all confidentiality laws, an extremely high maintenance of professional conduct, and the exercise of extreme astute decision-making skills in handling complex issues that occur in the workplace. The incumbent is expected to maintain effective and efficient working relationships and positive attitudes with all internal and external customers.
Other Duties May Include:
Processes routine paperwork and/or enters data into a department log or database in the servicing of a client.
Prepares, indexes, and scans documents into imaging system; may ensure quality of scanned image.
Prepares requisitions for the purchase of supplies, may involve entering information into an automated system.
Receives, stores, and distributes supplies; maintains inventory of such.
Collects and prepares for processing time and attendance sheets for department or office.
Maintains department’s records system, including filing and retrieving documents, researching files, etc.
Serves as clerical assistant to a manager, which may include keeping appointment schedule, preparing travel, issuing directives to others on their behalf, and relieving the manager of administrative matters.
Serves as receptionist for the assigned work unit. May deliver and pick-up various materials.
