JOB SUMMARYThe HR Associate provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department as well as providing information and support to all NCH employees who interact with HR in a professional and friendly manner. The HR Associate completes assigned daily tasks in the HR Department, but also works on projects to support HR as well as NCH as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned.

· Provides front-line information for all walk-in and telephone inquiries related to benefits, employment, and other departmental and hospital activities; refers current employees and applicants to the correct specialist if needed and collaborates with HR team members to ensure resolution of employee issues.

· Assists applicants with questions regarding their online applications, application status checks, or other employment issues they may present.

· Assists with verification of employment through written documentation or phone as requested.

· Opens and distributes all incoming mail. Routes incoming email to the appropriate contacts.

· Schedules meetings and interviews as needed for the HR Department.

· Prepares and sorts documents for scanning to employee files. Scans documents to employee files, and audits work for accuracy and legibility. Prepares document hardcopies for long term storage.

· Assists the Talent Team with seasonal paperwork, inputs information into seasonal database and ensures all information/forms are completed and returned timely.

· Verifies new employee’s I-9 work authorization through E-Verify system.

· Generates payment requisitions as needed for outside vendors.

· Assists with special projects as needed, including but not limited to employee events, system-wide initiatives that are HR-based, and employee communications.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS· High School or GED required.

· Minimum 1 year of experience in an office setting preferred.

· Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and use resources efficiently.

· Excellent customer services skills based upon positive attitude and values.

· Strong interpersonal, professional and communication skills- both verbal and written.

· Ability to multi-task. Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
