Job Title:

Administrative Support III

Responsibilities

Perform advanced and confidential administrative duties, including drafting routine correspondence, meeting minutes, managing financials, and gathering information based on policies and procedures.

Assist with hiring faculty, staff, and part-time employees.

Manage budget expenditures, process purchase orders, and handle financial documentation such as requisitions, travel requests, and reconciliation.

Coordinate department activities including collecting syllabi, book orders, and facilitating travel arrangements for faculty and students.

Supervise part-time administrative staff and maintain department records, spreadsheets, and data entry.

Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and the public, and participate in recruiting and orientation events.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of relevant administrative experience.

Preferred:
Associate’s degree in business administration or related field; experience as an event planner is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of best practices in event planning, correspondence, and etiquette.

Understanding of university policies and procedures.

Proficiency in office methods, computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, databases, presentations).

Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, work under stress, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Capability to work with diverse populations and adapt to strategic changes involving multiple stakeholders.
