Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced administration officer to join the Preston PARC team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

The Administration Officer is integral to the PARC program in ensuring administration tasks and duties are carried out efficiently and effectively. These include, but are not limited to, data entry, records maintenance, database management, receptionist and general administration. The Administration Officer may also have duties related to collating data for team KPI’s, auditing, ordering supplies, support to clinicians with day to day administrative duties and basic support to staff regarding local IT issues.

This roleis responsible forperforming administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the unit, support the multidisciplinary team, support with meeting coordination, including scheduling, agendas and minutes, repair requests through engineering or facility services (completion of asset plus) and contributing to the overall administrative operations of Preston PARC.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience and good working knowledge of health information systems
  • Proven ability to operate Microsoft office suite and the ability to learn new systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of privacy and confidentiality principles
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult, liaise and work collaboratively with consumers, carers, and service staff.
