Job Summary/Basic Function
Facilitates the workings of the Housing & Residence Life department and performs specialized and general administrative duties. Responsible for supervising 6- 8 student/hourly employees. Provides administrative support and customer service. Greet students, guests, and visitors, answers questions, and responds to inquiries (walk-in, phone, and email). Financial responsibilities include reconciling p-cards, reallocating p-card expenses, monthly transaction reports, preparing personnel action requests (ePARs) and purchasing equipment and supplies. Has access to cost codes and sensitive information, including files, legal documents, financial data, student data, and other records. Prepares reports and works with other departments and offices to research and resolve questions.
Required Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
3 years related experience
Experience with computer software
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
Associates degree
Experience providing business or administrative support services in a university or state agency
Experience using Banner, Microsoft Office, Google Docs or other business or accounting software
Excellent clerical, organizational and written/interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders including students, faculty, and staff
Experience managing and reconciling department budgets, purchasing, rent collections
Self-motivation, positive attitude, and customer service orientation
Ability to assist in finding common solutions to fiscal issues/problems
