The Program Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role in coordinating clerical, administrative, and customer service engagement components of the Kanis Child Development Center (KCDC).
Working directly in collaboration and under the supervision of the director. This position will be responsible for supporting,recruitment and enrollment, processing finance and procurement requests; maintaining programrecords; assist in preparing reports memorandums, emails, supervising Federal Work Study staff,; coordinating Environmental Health, Safety,and Nutrition components; coordinating and scheduling college students for observational experiences; and receptionist tasks and functions.
Job Description
Support recruitment and enrollment efforts for families and children, collaborating with
the Director to enhance program visibility.
Process finance and procurement requests in accordance with university policies and
procedures.
Organize and maintain accurate program records, ensuring compliance with regulatory
and accreditation standards.
Supervise and train Federal Work Study student staff, fostering a productive and
educational work environment.
Coordinate Environmental Health, Safety, and Nutrition components, ensuring adherence
to relevant policies and best practices.
Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for internal and external
stakeholders.
Coordinate the scheduling of college students and visitors for classroom observational experiences.
Provide customer service of excellence engaging with CSU staff, faculty, administrators, college students, KCDC families, and all other internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain and establish an aesthetically welcoming and inviting environment in al the common areas.
Additional responsibilities as assigned and appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER
High school diploma or equivalent.
Any one of the following from the categories below:
Four (4) years (48 months) of work experience comparable to the third level of this series.
Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience comparable to the fourth level of this series.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or relevant equivalent
Experience working in childcare, school or youth service environment.
Training and/or coursework in Early Childhood Education/Child Development
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of administrative and administrative procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Knowledge of computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data, or process information.
Skill in material resources management through obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Skill in decision making by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choosing the most appropriate one.
Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
Ability to provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

Must be able to physically interact with children, including talk, hear, sit, stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift and or move items of up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment
Preschool Center environment with typical office space, kitchen, classrooms on a university college campus, Primarily work in office environment, however, may work in classroom, kitchen, outdoor playground, Does require being able to go to other buildings and areas on campus.
