Administrative Assistant Jobs in Placerville, CA at Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians

We are looking for Full Time Administrative Support Coordinator to join our Revenue Cycle Team.

Job Duties Include:

Print and mail out all HCFA forms for the practice attaching any corresponding visit notes, operative reports, etc.
File operative reports, surgery orders & workers compensation notes
Pick up the mail from the post office box
Answer the phone for the department and direct the call to the appropriate person
60 Day claim follow up report
Distribute USPS and Interoffice mail
Keep receiving room in order and put away supplies
Additional duties as assigned

Education:

High school diploma or GED certificate

Qualifications:

Comfortable using a computer, e-mail, and Internet applications
Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
Basic understanding of how medical insurance works
Knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare and Workers Compensation
Basic Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 Coding for Orthopedic Surgery (Preferred)
Strong communication skills

Experience:

One year experience in a medical office

Pay Range:

$21.00 to $23.00 per Hour
Higher compensation may be available for someone with advanced skills and/or experience
