This is an exciting opportunity to join the Support Staff at UtiliQuest, LLC as an Administrative Assistant working in our Newport News Office, VA. UtiliQuest, LLC a leading provider of quality underground utility damage prevention for over three decades. With headquarters located in Alpharetta, Georgia just north of Atlanta, we have offices located in states including California, Indiana, Ohio and the Eastern US from Florida to New York with over 2,800 employees. Meet the Team
Our Support Staff plays a critical role in supporting our field operations as well as our customers and corporate staff. It is key that you are a self-motivated professional with strong work ethic, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills, and are ready to add value to our team on day one. You will be the point of contact supporting the corporate staff and field operations.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, while supporting the Team with various duties. You will play an active part in the daily and weekly responsibilities of the corporate team and support the business objectives.
What you’ll do…
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Prepares and distributes daily/weekly/monthly reports.
Reconciles credit card charges and prepares statements for approval.
Reviews spend data and provide analysis to enable cost containment.
Makes travel and hotel arrangements for support staff and field operations.
Provides administrative support to Corporate Centers
Prioritize and coordinate with internal teams to deliver work product within commitment dates and times.
Ability to quickly analyze a situation and develop a solution while working with various teams to meet goals.
Apply critical thinking skills to understand problems, analyze facts and anticipate results to make decisions based on available information.
The ability to work within the Microsoft Office Suite
Answers customer and other calls with a “face of the company” attitude.
Assists with ordering office supplies/managing cost.
Assists with general office duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Who we are looking for…
Required skills for success:
High school diploma or GED equivalency required
Six (6) months of experience in an administrative role or related experience required
Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to project professionalism in client and employee interactions
Ability to learn new systems and software related to the role
Strong understanding of Google and Office Suites
Critical thinking skills
