Tythe is hired exclusively for meetings, conferences, team building, private dinners, and product launches, providing a distinctive and stimulating environment for corporate events. Guests can tailor the restored barns, breakout spaces, on-site farmhouse accommodation, and landscaped gardens to suit a wide range of event needs. As one of the most established barn venues in the country, Tythe focuses on delivering well-planned, high-quality experiences for clients and their guests.
Role Description The Administrative Assistant is a part time, on-site role based in the Greater Oxford Area at Tythe, Launton. This role supports daily operations by managing correspondence, answering and directing phone calls, and serving as a first point of contact for clients, couples, suppliers, and visitors. Responsibilities include organizing schedules and calendars, maintaining digital and paper filing systems, preparing documents and reports, and assisting with event bookings and logistics. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate with the management and events teams, handle data entry, support invoicing and basic record keeping, and ensure that office and reception areas are well-maintained. The role involves working closely with colleagues to provide timely information, maintain high service standards, and contribute to a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance skills to support scheduling, correspondence, and day-to-day operations.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Phone Etiquette skills to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess solid Clerical Skills, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and basic record management.
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, or office administration is beneficial, particularly in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, calendars, spreadsheets, and word processing tools).
- Ability to work on-site full time in the Greater Oxford Area, with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
