Job Description

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Public Sector client in Whitby, ON in support of their Audit team. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension. Please note this role requires a hybrid presence in the Whitby office.

Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support as required

Support the audit team during all stages of an engagement with administrative responsibilities including conducting research, participating in meetings with clients, and editing, proofreading, and distributing reports

Support the administrative process in support of the annual audit plan by researching audit topics, coordinating meetings, and preparing presentations

Assist with administrative tracking of key performance measures, budgets, and invoices

Preparing presentations, editing, and proofreading articles

Maintain positive relationships with all departments to ensure effective communications

Liaise with and maintain ongoing and effective communication with management

Collaborate and liaise with other departments, municipalities, and external organizations

Experience:

2+ years related Administrative support experience.

Advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Experience in the public sector and/or government considered an asset
