About The PositionThis is a full-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Manager, Counselling, Accessibility & Testing Services working 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $30.00

The incumbent supports the College’s Student Accessibility and Academic Accommodation responsibilities and requirements by providing a variety of office reception, clerical, administrative, and organizational functions within the Accessibility Services Department to student users, College staff, and community members.

The incumbent is also primarily responsible for providing critical administrative and facilitation support for the Accessibility Team, in their support of Accessibility students/parents, the College, and the wider community. In conjunction with the Accessibility Team, the incumbent helps implement a range of accessibility processes, protocols, and services, including, but not limited to, intake, case management system files development and maintenance, auxiliary accessibility service provision, appointments and scheduling, special events and communications, document development, clinical assessment and documentation support, and general office operations and maintenance.

The incumbent is knowledgeable and sensitive to the educational and accessibility needs of students with exceptionalities and students who are facing difficult circumstances. The incumbent represents Accessibility Services and the College professionally, tactfully, and respects the confidentiality needs of students.

Specific Accountabilities

Administrative and Organizational Support to Accessibility Services Department

Development and maintenance of office services, systems and processes, i.e. reception and scheduling of clients, case management system (ClockWork),files (physical, Teams), budget, inventory, contracts, documentation, tracking and data collection, report preparation, including Ministry reporting requirements.

Maintenance of website communications/updates, digital filing systems and documents, templates, forms, and resources ensuring currency and accuracy.

Assistance with organization of departmental events such as Open House, Transitions and outreach activities to community members, students, parents, secondary teachers and counsellors.
