GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the RES-Respiratory department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

Must be able to use mature judgment to facilitate independent decisions and set priorities in the absence of supervisor. Detail orientation, organization and accuracy in data entry is required. The position calls for a high level of problem solving and human relation skills both orally and in writing with interaction in dealing with students, faculty, staff, administration, and the general public. Skill in word processing, spreadsheet and databases using common office software is required. Accuracy with strong keyboarding, filing, writing, data entry and advanced computer skills is essential. Skills may be obtained through completion of certificate, diploma, or degree programs in related fields, through experience in similar positions, or both. Experience in Microsoft programs is essential (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access). The candidate will also need skills in working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) designated by the college.

Employee will report to the Department Head of the School of Health Sciences-Barton Campus. Normal day to day activities will require independent functioning and decision making; using judgment in dealing with problems and seek guidance and direction as necessary. Employee must create a good working environment and ensure productivity and unit efficiency. Confidence for independent action and good judgment, along with discretion with confidential materials and issues. Employee must adhere to standards of student and patient confidentiality. Additionally, the employee must follow college and state policies and procedures that support job functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree + 1 year related work experience; or an associate degree +3 years related work experience; or HS diploma +5 years related work experience.
