Under the general direction of the Project Oversight and Strategic Technology (POST) Branch Chief, the Executive Secretary I is responsible for providing a variety of clerical support services to branch staff and direct support to the POST Branch Chief. The position requires detailed knowledge of Departmental operations and clerical procedures; excellent computer, typing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The incumbent must maintain consistent and regular attendance and perform administrative assignments independently. Also required are good communication skills, both written and oral, in order to be effective in dealing with the executive and program management staff as well as the ability to act independently.

Working Conditions

This work location is very convenient! The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.

The Information Systems Division works in collaboration with programs and county agencies, to provide solutions to systems that assist families access essentials such as, but not limited to, medical services, care providers, groceries, and transportation.

Special Requirements

This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.
