The Nisqually Indian Tribe is developing a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility on Pacific Ave in Olympia, Washington to address the opioid crisis within the Thurston County area. The Nisqually Indian Tribe is passionate about developing a whole person recovery model, keeping all services under one roof so the patient has the best possible chance of recovery. Our goal is to bring healing and wellness to the community, focusing on the entire family by serving tribal and non-tribal patients.

Jobs are projected to start late May – early June 2025.

NATURE OF WORK: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for providing clerical and
administrative support to various departments within the tribal organization. Incumbents may
perform tasks for multiple programs or be assigned to a specific department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answers telephone and greets visitors giving general information in response to inquiries;
delivers oral and written messages to unit members.

Receives, sorts and distributes mail; opens generally addressed mail and distributes appropriately.
Organizes, establishes and maintains record-keeping systems for correspondence, documents,
materials or records for an administrative function; sets up files by numerical, alphabetical or
other method; records or logs incoming information and follow-up on missing or incomplete
information.

Schedules appointments for supervisor as directed utilizing knowledge of priorities and
prearranged plans; prepares daily itineraries and assembles necessary background materials for
supervisor; attends meetings to record and report on proceedings, if requested.

Arranges meetings, schedules conferences, facilities and services as directed by supervisor;
notifies attendees or participants of time and place.

Types/word processes correspondence, reports and similar materials from rough copy or drafts;
composes standard correspondence.

Monitors office supplies and initiates requisitions to replenish; submits to supervisor for
approval.

Operates office equipment such as copiers, calculators, personal computers, typewriters or other
equipment found in department.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and any other applicable software programs required by the
assigned department.

Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communications with public.
Skill in composing routine letters and preparing reports.
Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones
and copiers.

Ability to effectively communicate.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED equivalent
1 year of clerical and/or public contact experience; OR,
Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources
