Position Objective
Performs intermediate work providing administrative assistance to the East Central Drug and Violent Offender Task Force; assists with general office support and record keeping duties. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Task Force Commander.
Essential Functions

Assists the Task Force by communicating with County Attorney’s Office regarding ongoing cases.
Provides office support to the Task Force staff. Answers phones and assists with complaints and tips provided by the public.
Performs record keeping duties such as printing incident reports and scanning documents
Processes dispositions.
Develop Quarterly newsletters for the Task Force board
Track and maintain billing within the East Central Drug and Violent Offenders Task Force.
Maintains accurate filing system for record keeping.
Keeps a detailed list of prioritized cases for the Task Force staff.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining operation funds within state and federal audit procedures
Provide administrative support for the East Central Drug and Violent Offenders Task Force,
Other duties as assigned.
Provide effective and credible testimony in legal proceedings when necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge in the use of standard office equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to type accurately 40 words per minute.
Ability to operate typewriter, personal computer, copy machine, facsimile machine
Effective letter writing, report writing and composition of business correspondence.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of policies, practices, and services of the county and task force.
Spelling and vocabulary skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality/anonymity.
Ability to transcribe very vivid descriptions of violent crimes and frequently foul language.
Excellent organization skills.
Knowledge of Minnesota State Statutes, Minnesota Data Privacy Laws, Sheriff Office and Task Force policies.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and moderate experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Copy machine, facsimile machines, calculator, computer, scanner, telephone and other related office equipment.
