Summary

In this role, you’ll provide high-level administrative and project support to department leadership, including Chairs, Chiefs, and Assistant Vice Presidents. You’ll be a key partner in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while helping coordinate important academic, research, and team-based initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to support meaningful work, stay organized, and bring structure to complex tasks.

The starting annual salary for this position is $56,506 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.

What You’ll Do

In This Role, You Will

Provide administrative and operational support to department leaders and professional staff

Prepare and review detailed documents, including contracts and other formal materials

Create reports, presentations, and communications using Microsoft Office tools

Coordinate meetings, events, and special projects from planning through completion

Support fellowship program activities, including conference coordination and onboarding

Help manage schedules, communications, and departmental workflows

Maintain organized records and ensure information is accurate and up to date

Communicate clearly and work well with a range of stakeholders

Enjoy coordinating events or projects and bringing details together smoothly

Have experience supporting administrative work, ideally in a research or academic setting

Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Previous Administrative Experience Required

Experience in a research environment is a plus

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.

Note

Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
