Work Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 – 24.50 per hour based on experience

Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Home Care Administrative Assistant ! This role is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the department, which includes general department information and assistance while responding to resident and family inquiries throughout the community.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Home Care Administrative Assistant:
Provides written communication and correspondence, maintains paperwork, files, etc. as it relates to home care.
Assists with welcoming visitors and/or residents, answers questions, handles inquiries and refers to proper departments.
Provides all administrative and clerical support to the department.
Responsible for answering and transferring all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving information, direction and other appropriate assistance.
Sorts and routes the department mail; answers routine mail and returns telephone calls.
Processes long term care insurance claims and Veteran’s Assistance claims.
Orders office supplies for the department.
Compiles and maintains various master lists and systems, resident listings, resident directories, staff home phone numbers, resident away list, etc.
Oversees getting the proper access for all new hires, including working with the IT company and LCS Support Center.
Conducts new client chart audits.
Coordinate special projects, as requested.
Attends meetings and takes minutes, as requested.
Provides personal care and assistance to the residents in their apartments or homes, as needed.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Illinois notary certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
Current first aid and CPR certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
Must have strong customer service skills and passion for working with older adults.
Computer literacy required; Proficiency in word processing and computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
Basic mathematical skills required.
Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
Ability to use office equipment, such as copy/fax/scan machine.
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers while assessing resident or other complaints and resolve disputes in a friendly and professional manner.
