Summary
The Fellow works closely with the Chief Transformation Officer to develop and deliver projects at the intersection of engineering and healthcare to address institutional challenges.
This is a one-year, full-time position.

Responsibilities*
Leads the definition, design, development, documentation, and deployment of several strategic healthcare systems improvement projects, with the guidance of the Chief Transformation Officer
Conducts communications and observations with Michigan Medicine collaborators and stakeholders to identify needs, inform project, and gather important information and data related to the project needs
Engages with and mentors student researchers, including serving as a resource when students encounter technical or professional challenges
Designs and executes technical analysis for projects, including data analysis, data visualization, optimization modeling, and simulation
Collaborates with lead faculty to conduct internal process improvement for the management and execution of Chief Transformation Officer projects
Required Qualifications*
Graduate-level degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields with an interest in healthcare operations OR a Graduate-level degree in a healthcare field (epidemiology, public health, biomedical engineering, etc.) with interest and experience in data analytics, operations research, and/or lean process improvement
Quantitative research skills, including experience processing, analyzing, and visualizing data, and proficiency in Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical communication
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage time effectively
