ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER III SUPERVISOR Jobs in Cumberland, MD at State of Maryland

Emmett Family Services is looking for someone with an exceptional attitude and great organizational skills. We need someone that will go above and beyond the job title. With continuous growth over the last several years we are constantly changing and need a scheduler that can handle stress and change well and who can help to organize and orchestrate that change.

Essential Job Functions:
Medical billing for mental health and substance use
QuickBooks
Answering calls
Scheduling appointments in person or over the telephone.
Obtains basic demographic information of patient, verifies insurance information or informs patient, asks about chief complaint, queries patient on the need to transfer records from other treatment facilities.
Explains to patient payment options; reminds patient that payment is due at the time of service.
Reminds patient of appointment date, time, and provider name
Completes faxes, scans, monitors no shows, and call reminders.
Drug testing for clients
At all times, behaves in manner consistent with value system of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information; complies with HIPAA privacy and security protocols; Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Serves the organization by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Completes assigned continued education and mandatory compliance training as assigned.
Actively manage phones, texts and emails.
Experience:
Customer service experience required; previous medical office experience preferred
Ability to efficiently assist patients while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail.
Ability to adapt to and learn new software.
Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong organization skills, time management and prioritizing skills.
Strong customer service skills
Ability to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining professional telephone etiquette and a courteous demeanor.
Days are Monday – Thursday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
