Senior Corporate Services Coordinator

Location:Hybrid role which can be based at either our Head Office in Edinburgh or Rachel House in Kinross, along with home working.

Salary:CHAS Sector Band 5: £29,132- £32,205 per annum equivalent to NHS Band 5

Contract:Permanent, Full Time 35 hours per week

Are you an exceptionally well-organised individual with an attention to detail? Someone who can proactively think two steps ahead in a fast-paced work environment? We are looking for a highly skilled administrator to provide high quality executive, administrative and corporate support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The COO has busy and varied workload, including leading the Finance, Information Services, and Facilities functions. You will provide excellent proactive, adaptable and professional support to the COO, maximising their capacity and time to ensure that key deadlines, project deliverables and business objectives are achieved.

This role is currently a hybrid role at our Head Office in Edinburgh or our Hospice in Kinross, along with home working. There will also be occasional travel to our other CHAS sites to assist the COO. We may consider other locations for exceptional candidates.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role. You will operate flexibly and professionally in a fast-paced environment. You will use your own initiative and judgement, showing confidence and discretion. You will be good at prioritising others time and workload in order to manage the extensive demands associated with daily diary commitments. You will be experienced and effective in assessing priorities, undertaking research and preparatory work to facilitate meetings and appointments, and liaising with relevant team members where necessary to ensure the COO is fully prepared for meetings.

You will be a confident communicator with great attention to detail and exemplary organisational, creative problem solving and prioritisation skills. You will have demonstrable experience of supporting committees. You will be a team player with a positive, welcoming and can-do attitude. Maintaining confidentiality is a key attribute, whilst ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard. You must be able to cope with routine and challenging situations, using your initiative and working with diplomacy.

Previous experience in the charity or healthcare sectors would be an advantage, as would experience of working with volunteers.

Our team of staff and volunteers work across two childrens hospices, in community settings across the country, and in hospitals alongside NHS staff. We work right across Scotland.
