This position is in the Office of Legal Services, working in the Workforce Development Legal Division as Administrative Specialist Senior at the Education and Labor Cabinet. The position will be based in Franklin County.

Job duties include:
Provides high-level professional administrative support to the Office of Legal Services General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel.
Performs duties in the oversight of open records requests, foreclosures and lien filing processes.
Gathers and researches information of the Office of Unemployment Insurance for complex foreclosure actions where a cross-claim will be asserted.
Contacts opposing counsel to confirm lien information and claimant information.
Based on information gathered, determines appropriate language for Answer to Foreclosure memo, and drafts complex responses for attorney review.
Responds to inquiries from attorneys and members of the public, including individuals requesting lien payoff information and instructions for payoff process.
Reviews new case information and creates files.
Maintains division information on the shared drive, drafts correspondence and other documents upon request from attorneys, assists with Open Records Requests, provides other administrative support to attorneys, open/closes cases, and maintains reports of open/closed cases.
Assists with archiving files to be sent to the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives.

Excel experience (pivot tables, creating formulas, and charts).

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
