Job Title: Administrative Assistant, Full-Time, 40hrs per week
Salary Range: $40,289.17 to $43,387.03 annually, DOE

JOB SUMMARY: This position provides administrative assistance to University of Wyoming Extension Educators in the planning and implementation of educational programs and activities.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Assists Educators in designing and developing effective program marketing materials and education media, including newsletters, handouts, and fliers.
Maintains 4-H program files and records.
Maintains private and commercial pesticide training and test records.
Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
Processes vouchers; maintains budget figures, keeps accurate records of expenditures; maintains petty cash, submits receipts for reimbursement, and balances accounts.
Answers phone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
Maintains “to-do list” for annual events; completes related tasks according to deadlines.
Assists in the management of the 4-H Council accounts; makes deposits; pays invoices.
Assist with implementation of Extension programs.
Be available for some weekend and/or night work hours.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Knowledge of personal computers and job-related software programs. Including, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint, and Word.
Knowledge of managing social media, websites, and 4H – specific online enrollment programs.
Skill in the provision of customer services.
Skill in analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships.
Skill in interpersonal relations.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position; usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for a minimum of two to three years.
