Duties

The incumbent will work with the Administrative Officer and Project Leader to provide support to staff of the South Carolina field office, including performing travel arrangements and generating travel documentation for staff; conducting property inventories, assisting with equipment procurement with limited budget responsibilities associated with procurement; conducting file, and fleet management; and serving as a backup timekeeper for the facility. In addition, they will work with IT support to assist with troubleshooting common technical problems.

As a Administrative Support Assistant your duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Coordinating and scheduling staff training and trains clerical personnel. Completing administrative reviews as necessary.

Providing instruction and training in automated systems such as those used for staff travel, staff payroll, timekeeping, and personnel actions. This includes hands-on training in these systems, as well as continuing phone support.

Providing assistance with day-to-day questions regarding various computer applications used by office staff and provides information technology management, network administration, and technical support in conjunction and consultation with the designated Information Technology Coordinator.

Preparing or managing the preparation of reports associated with property, training, imprest, vehicle use, energy, equipment, safety, travel and various other special reports as requested.

Supervising the inventory of all accountable property. Conducts a physical inventory of all accountable property.

Updating and maintaining a record system which controls the location, arrangement, and use of active files, and systematic retention and/or disposal of records according to established plans.

Arranging, attending, and preparing informational packets for meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

Only experience and education obtained by 03/01/2024 will be considered.

In order to qualify for this position you must possess both theMinimum Qualification.

Minimum Qualification [GS-6]

One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of experience include: (1) review an organization’s funds or financial data to ensure accuracy; (2) prepare and ensure accuracy of time and attendance reports through an electronic time and attendance system; (3) procure supplies, equipment or services in accordance with regulations governing the type of purchase; (4) prepare oral briefings …
