Full Job Description

Duties

Establishes staff standard operating procedures for personnel related matters and provides advice and assistance on their application to management staff and other personnel.

Manages and maintains a suspense system for the performance appraisal process within DoD Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP), updating as necessary.

Provides information to employees regarding employee benefits and the submission of benefit changes such as life and health insurance, thrift savings plan, within grade increases, and unemployment/workers compensation.

Coordinates training requests and input from managers/supervisors and provides names of attendees to the appropriate action office for all training and schools.

Maintains a current knowledge of the capabilities of a variety of office automation equipment and software to facilitate clerical and administrative requirements.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Three year trial/probationary period may be required.

Performs TDY travel in accomplishment of the duties of this position up to 20% of the time.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Must be a qualified typist.
