Job Summary
UK Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement is seeking a qualified individual to provide senior-level administrative support to Stakeholder Engagement teams. This position will provide support including calendar management, meeting coordination, document/report preparation, travel arrangements, billing reconciliation and file management for the units. Additionally, this position will handle incoming communications as well as outgoing correspondence to internal and external constituents as well as plan, coordinate and execute various communication- and event-related assignments within established timelines. The position will also assist in preparing event materials, maintaining database updates and RSVPs, managing budgets, overseeing the registration process, and handling general event management.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members and partners. • Understanding of higher education.; • Knowledge of best practices in advancement generally and alumni relations specifically.; • Demonstrated connection or familiarity with the University of Kentucky.

Preferred Education/Experience
• Minimum of two years’ experience in higher education, alumni relations, association management or in a closely related field.; • Demonstrated organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communications skills.; • the ability to work effectively with people as partners and team members.; • Experience with event planning, oversight and direction.; • Significant and progressively responsible experience in the management and integration of marketing, communications and strategic planning, • Experience working with diverse groups of people and a demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
