RESPONSIBILITIES*

Pakistan Data Centre currently processing daily end of day and related processes for core banking and allied applications including housekeeping, backups etc.

Data Centre is manned 24 x 7 including all Sundays and holidays. This is done by rotating staff in shifts.

Monitoring of infrastructure and systems, critical application connectivity, ATM, CDM, is also part of Data centre’s routine.

Ensure that systems are available, during agreed service hours in relation with activities to perform after business hours and to complete before system handover for next business day.

All related reports, downloads, and other updates to deliver timely to concerned departments / units in accordance with schedule and agreed service level agreement.

Data Centre Team also perform multiple governance task /assessment under Regional CDC team Agenda, including Nlyte asset inventory update and periodic reconciliation exercise.

Business*

Support all functions for IT/ Data Centre Operation and associated task

Processes*

Responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operations to Pakistan Data Centre which supports Pan-Pakistan branches.

Complete day operations & online updates accurately, within the time limits specified on Service Level Agreement.

Daily and Weekly Health Check performed for all servers to keep maintain required space & to identify future requirements according to increase of database.

Responsible for physical & environmental security of the Data Centre according to the group guidelines and through frequently physical inspection of all data centre areas.

Ensure proper Operations Acceptance Test (OATs) prior to any new hardware/software being introduced to the production system environment. All such changes must be approved by the change management.

As shift supervisor, responsible for supervising the execution of daily operations routines according to the documented processes and procedures.

Should report and escalate problem that affect the jobs run at Data Centre.

Complete all batch and online updates accurately, within the time limits specified on service level agreement and in accordance with the Departmental Operating Instructions.

Judgement is called for when operational issues are likely to impact the business and Crisis management skills are called for in case of contingencies in the Data Centre.

Risk Management*

Responsible for Risk identification, assessment, and analysis as part of ORF assessment and other physical access and controls.

Other Responsibilities*

Coordinating with local IT TTO and Network team to assist on system related problems and projects. PK business users for daily reporting, downloads and updates shared by DC.
